IPL 2020 Schedule Changed : Chennai Super Kings will now not play the opening game of IPL 2020

It is getting from bad to worse for both the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). along side quite dozen Covid-19 positives within the team, CSK has now also lost the services of their crisis man & the vice captain Suresh Raina. Raina as declared by CSK won't be available for complete season of IPL 2020 due to personal reasons and has already returned to India.

Due to these unfortunate developments, MS Dhoni led CSK won't be seen within the opening game of IPL 2020. it's worth noting that, CSK was scheduled to play Mumbai Indians within the opening game of the 13th edition of IPL 2020 consistent with the sooner released schedule by BCCI.

It was being speculated not only by the media but also confirmed by the IPL players themselves that the opening game of the IPL 2020 are going to be contested by two of the foremost successful teams in IPL i.e 4 times champions Mumbai Indians & 3 time winner Chennai Super Kings. Captain of the Mumbai team Rohit Sharma himself had confirmed the news via his twitter update.

But now consistent with the sources, BCCI has decided to vary the schedule to offer CSK longer to recoup from the continued crisis in their camp.

CSK which is now under complete quarantine for subsequent 6 days can’t resume practice till all of the players test negative after completion of the quarantine period. this suggests albeit all goes well, CSK can resume practice only by the center of subsequent week.

Not only this, CSK players who have tested positive are going to be in quarantine for next fortnight . Over and above this, a number of the CSK squad members are playing in CPL 2020 and may only join the team after completion of 6 day quarantine in Dubai on either 17th-18th August.

This is the rationale , BCCI will not feature CSK within the opening game of the IPL 2020 and rather Mumbai Indians will face another team.

’They will not be in a position to contest the opening game of the IPL 2020. we will give CSK few more days to come out of this setback’, said one among the BCCI official.

The unfortunate development round the CSK team also will peg BCCI back in their preparations for the graceful conduct of IPL 2020. The schedules of IPL 2020 are already awaited for an extended time and now it'll get delayed further.

The IPL 2020 is simply 20 days and it had been expected that the much delayed schedule are going to be announced on Saturday. The IPL Governing Council Chairman Brijesh Patel currently in Dubai also had confirmed that the schedules are going to be released before Sunday. But now consistent with a report by TOI claims that IPL 2020 schedules and fixtures announcement may get delayed further thanks to unfortunate turn of events within the CSK camp.

“Adequate measures are in place to tackle the situation and there is no immediate threat to the tournament. But the announcement of fixtures has been delayed because of this development,” a top BCCI source told TOI.

Japan's 'flying car' gets off ground, with a person aboard

Japan's SkyDrive Inc., among the myriads of "flying car" projects round the world, has done a successful though modest test flight with one person aboard.

This photo taken at the beginning of August, 2020 and released by ©SkyDrive/CARTIVATOR 2020, shows a test flight of a manned '"flying car" at Toyota Test Field in Toyota, central Japan. The decades-old dream of zipping around within the sky as simply as driving on highways could also be becoming less illusory.

Japan’s SkyDrive Inc., among the myriads of “flying car” projects round the world, has carried out a successful though modest test flight with one person aboard.

In a video shown to reporters on Friday, a contraption that seemed like a slick motorcycle with propellers lifted several feet (1-2 meters) off the bottom , and hovered during a netted area for four minutes.

Tomohiro Fukuzawa, who heads the SkyDrive effort, said he hopes “the flying car” are often made into a real-life product by 2023, but he acknowledged that creating it safe was critical.

“Of the world’s more than 100 flying car projects, only a handful has succeeded with a person on board,” he told The Associated Press.

“I hope many people will want to ride it and feel safe.” The machine thus far can fly for just five to 10 minutes but if which will become half-hour , it'll have more potential, including exports to places like China, Fukuzawa said.

Unlike airplanes and helicopters, eVTOL, or electric vertical takeoff and landing, vehicles offer quick point-to-point personal travel, a minimum of in theory .

They could do away with the effort of airports and traffic jams and therefore the cost of hiring pilots, they might fly automatically.

Battery sizes, traffic control and other infrastructure issues are among the various potential challenges to commercializing them.

“Many things have to happen,” said Sanjiv Singh, professor at the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, who co-founded Near Earth Autonomy, near Pittsburgh, which is additionally performing on an eVTOL aircraft.

“If they cost $10 million, no one is going to buy them. If they fly for 5 minutes, no one is going to buy them. If they fall out of the sky every so often, no one is going to buy them,” Singh said during a interview .

The SkyDrive project began humbly as a volunteer project called Cartivator in 2012, with funding by top Japanese companies including automaker Toyota Motor Corp., company Panasonic Corp. and video-game developer Bandai Namco.

A demonstration flight three years ago went poorly. But it's improved and therefore the project recently received another round of funding, of 3.9 billion yen ($37 million), including from the event Bank of Japan.

The Japanese government is bullish on “the Jetsons” vision, with a “road map” for business services by 2023, and expanded commercial use by the 2030s, stressing its potential for connecting remote areas and providing lifelines in disasters.

Experts compare the excitement over flying cars to the times when the aviation industry got started with the Wright Brothers and therefore the auto industry with the Ford Model T .

Lilium of Germany, Joby Aviation in California and Wisk, a venture between Boeing Co. and Kitty Hawk Corp., also are performing on eVTOL projects.

Sebastian Thrun, chief executive of Kitty Hawk, said it took time for airplanes, cell phones and self-driving cars to win acceptance.

“But the time between technology and social adoption might be more compressed for eVTOL vehicles,” he said.

Sadak 2 Review: This road takes Alia and Sanjay Dutt nowhere

Twenty years later, under the direction of Mahesh Bhatt, there is no such thing that can keep the audience tied. The story of Sadak 2 also has no merit. Sanjay Dutt's fans will be disappointed with this film and happy to make jokes on Alia Bhatt that one chance and he got his hands on it.

Sadak 2 Review:  Mahesh Bhatt has brought the film as a director after almost 20 years, Sadak 2. In this long time, many trails have been left from the main road of cinema. Cinema has changed its style. This film by Mahesh Bhatt does not show him growing on any path. He is staying at the turn of the 1990s. The result is that they fail. Mahesh, who made the meaning, synopsis, name and daddy, was already lost, coming up to Sadak 2, Aashiqui, Dil Hai Manta Nahin, Road, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Dastak, Dushman and wounding are also directors Is missing. Mahesh Bhatt's new story does not fit into the changed grammar of cinema. In Sadak 2, he presents his philosophical views over the story. Overall, this film is a faded dish of a high shop named Mahesh Bhatt.

You do not connect to Sadak 2 at any level. The reason for this is both the character and the original subject. No character seems like a normal person here. All of them are mentally disturbed due to imaginary and personal tragedy. These people are either taking the help of a psychiatrist or by looking at them, it seems that they should see a doctor of the mind. The story is of Arya (Alia Bhatt). She is the only heir of Desai Group of Industries. Her late mother had written in the will that after the age of 21, all the property will be in Arya's name. Arya is about to turn 21 after seven days. But her father and step mother, aunt, are trying to tell her to be mentally ill or to kill her. A Baba (Makarand Deshpande) is the brain behind this scheme. Arya runs away. On the other hand, Ravi Kishan (Sanjay Dutt), who failed to attempt suicide after his wife's death, is now Arya's taxi driver. Arya has to go to Ranikhet and from there to Mount Kailash. 21st birthday is to be celebrated there itself. Villain is now following. How will they catch Arya? Will declare him mad or kill him. Will the hero (Aditya Roy Kapur) prove to be the real hero? In this case, what will be the role of Ravi? The answers to all these questions come out in a very boring manner.

While watching the film due to the characters and dialogues of Sadak 2, you suddenly remember that Mahesh Bhatt has also emerged as a character in the current atmosphere surrounding the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. After the death of Sushant, the Bhatt brothers recall the comments made on his mental state. Sanjay Dutt is shocked when he tries to commit suicide by hanging himself in the opening scene of the film. He goes to the psychiatrist and he asks him to be hospitalized. You also find Arya first in a psychiatric hospital. The black-clad Baba says that it is difficult for Arya to escape. Someone will beat him. One character says that a good artist is not necessarily a good person. Then finally the villain's dialogue is: Don't know who spread the rumor that there is something called love and God. We come from the dark and are buried in the dark. Neither sin nor virtue.

Sadak 2 is neither standing on concrete ground nor fantasy. There are no filmy spices here either. Romance, action is weak. The story is embodied in a superficial manner. In many places it seems as if Vikram Bhatt is a director, not Mahesh Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt does some very strange things here. Vishal (Aditya Roy Kapur), who was once a drug addict Munna Chaudhary, did not get to do a single act like a hero here. He escapes from the prison with the caged owl, which seems ridiculous. After this Mahesh Bhatt shows this owl fighting with the enemies of Vishal-Arya. Mahesh has made Gulshan Grover a gangster Dilip. Such characters seemed cruel in the 1980s, but not now. Mahesh Bhatt is the author of many films and could not handle the writing of his film.

The role of Sanjay Dutt in the film does not attract. They are cold here. After his return from prison, he will have to wait for another hit film. Aaliya also does not leave much effect. While working under the direction of the father, there is no improvement in him. Whereas Aditya Roy Kapoor should ask himself what he got by doing this film. Music in the Bhatt camp films has always worked a little bit, but cannot say about Sadak 2. Those who were waiting for Mahesh Bhatt to return as director, will disappoint the film.

IPL 2020: Mumbai Indians, KKR upset, will stay locked in resort rooms for 7 extra days

The Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) teams Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders are upset.

Reason, they still need to follow quarantine norms for another week before they will resume practice sessions just like the other teams.

Both Mumbai Indians & KKR are based in Abu Dhabi . consistent with the Covid-19 norms of the emirate of Abu Dhabi , it's mandatory to finish 14 days quarantine before anyone is allowed to maneuver outside.

In comparison 6 teams staying in Dubai are ready to start out practice. Dubai only follows 7 days mandatory quarantine period.

These different sets of quarantine rules within the two emirates has pegged the franchises plans by every week .

“We have requested BCCI to intervene. We were told we have to follow 7 days quarantine period but now it has come to our knowledge that as per the local norms we will be in 14 days quarantine”, said member of the support staff attached with the Mumbai Indians team.

IPL 2020 Teams arrival date in UAE

Day Date Team
Thursday 20-Aug KKR RR KXIP
Friday 21-Aug MI CSK RCB
Sunday 23-Aug DC SRH

KKR was the primary team to succeed in UAE on 20th Aug, while Mumbai Indians reached Abu Dhabi on 21st Aug. At an equivalent time other 6 teams reached Dubai and that they have started reaching ICC Academy for practice sessions, but both Rohit Sharma’s MI and Dinesh Karthik’s will stay within the hotels for an additional week.
The different Covid-19 norms within the two Emirates aren't only upsetting the plans of Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians but even BCCI is in fix and is yet to release the schedule for the event.
The IPL is simply 20 days away and therefore the BCCI has still not finalized the schedule for the IPL that starts form September 19.

The reason is that the same – Dubai & Abu Dhabi both have separate protocols associated with Covid-19. There are travel restrictions also between the 2 cities. While entering Abu Dhabi , one has got to undergo mandatory rapid tests. Only after a negative test one can cross the border.

Such strict procedures cannot work for the teams on a match-day. that's the rationale BCCI is yet to declare the schedule for the IPL 2020

It has learnt from the sources, now to beat the local protocols – BCCI team in UAE is deliberating with the Emirates Cricket Board to divide the IPL 2020 into two separate legs in order that traveling between the cities are often minimized.

At this stage out of total 56 Group Games in IPL 2020 –
– 21 are going to be played in Dubai
– 21 in Abu Dhabi
– 14 in Sharjah

Currently there are not any restrictions to visit Sharjah from Dubai. So BCCI may plan to play the whole first leg of IPL 2020 in Dubai & Sharjah.

The second leg may comprise of games only in AbuDhabi which is 130 kms from Dubai.

For the play-offs & finals teams can again return to Dubai.

The final decision during this regard are going to be taken with-in next 48 hours as IPL GC Chairman Brijesh Patel and Hemang Amin is thanks to meet various officials in UAE government. Post these meetings on Thursday, final course of action are going to be decided and IPL 2020 schedules are going to be released.

Lionel Messi tells Barcelona he wants to leave

Lionel Messi has informed Barcelona that he wants to leave the club, according to several breaking reports.

Following Barca's 8-2 humiliation against Bayern Munich, there have been suggestions that the argentine wanted to go away Camp Now.

And now, that has apparently been confirmed by the argentine.

Several high-profile outlets and journalists confirmed the maximum amount on Tuesday evening.

Journalist Alfredo Martinex tweeted: "Today is a very sad day for Barça fans. Leo Messi announces that he does not want to continue at Barcelona. After 29 years and 17 in the professional squad, the greatest player in history wants to go, and Bartomeu stays. The president who has not been able to retain him cannot continue."

He later added: "Messi will no longer attend testing this weekend or training. The decision is final."

That claim is supported by Marca, who write: "Leo Messi wants to leave FĂştbol Club Barcelona. Difficult to write this sentence without exclamations.

"The player has sent a burofax to the club expressing his desire to execute the clause provided in his contract by which he can unilaterally leave the club at the end of each season.

"In principle, that clause ended before June 10, but the atypical of this exercise due to the coronavirus opens the way to request now to be released. it is considered a first step to open a negotiation for an exit, based on the fact that its clause is 700 million euros."

The club will no doubt fight the very fact Messi can trigger the clause that was due to expire on June 10 and that we haven't heard the end of this.

One thing is needless to say , Messi wants to go away the club he's been at for quite 29 years.

The biggest transfer story within the history of football is well underway.

Tegu lizard black and white seen for the first time in South Carolina

South Carolina officials have documented the primary confirmed sighting of a black and white tegu lizard, a non-native species which will have a detrimental impact on the state's wildlife.

The female lizard, found and faraway from Lexington County, measured about 2.5 feet long, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) said during a news release on Friday. The species can reach up to 4 feet and weigh quite 10 pounds.

"The introduction of any non-native species can have serious negative impacts on native wildlife. Black and white tegus are no exception," SCDNR herpetologist Andrew Grosse said during a statement.

"Tegus mature and reproduce quickly, though most concerning may be their preference for eggs and the potential impacts to our native ground-nesting birds like turkey and quail, as well as other species such as the state-endangered gopher tortoise."

The lizards, native to South America, are voracious omnivores that hunt birds, small mammals, reptiles and amphibians. They also eat fruits, vegetables, insects and eggs. along side posing a risk to native species, they'll also spread exotic parasites to native wildlife or maybe cause the bacterial contamination of crops.

Black and white tegu lizards established themselves in Georgia and Florida, "likely as a result of release or escape," consistent with the news release. As a non-native species, the animals aren't protected by state wildlife laws or regulations.

The SCDNR has received multiple sighting reports since May, but this is often the primary time it's been confirmed. The species doesn't pose a threat to pet dogs or cats, and aren't considered aggressive toward people.

Officials are urging anyone who spots one among these lizards to require a photograph and report where and when it had been seen.

Serum Institute says reports of Covid-19 Vaccine Covishield vaccine availability in 73 days false

COVISHIELD will be commercialised only after trials are proven successful and all the requisite regulatory approvals are in place.

Serum Institue of India (SII) issued a press release on August 23, clarifying that each one claims surrounding the supply of its COVID-19 vaccine,COVISHIELD, in 73 days are false.

"Presently, the government has granted us permission to only manufacture the vaccine and stockpile it for future use," SII said during a statement they posted on Facebook, adding that COVISHIELD are going to be commercialised only after trials are proven successful and in any case the requisite regulatory approvals are in situ .

The company also took to Twitter to line the record straight:
SII also touched on the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. "The phase-3 trials for the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine are still underway. And only once the vaccine is proven immunogenic and efficacious, SII will confirm its availability, officially," the corporate said.

73 days to COVID-19 vaccine; Indians to get free shots

India's first Covid vaccine-Serum Institute's 'Covishield'- are going to be commercialised in 73 days. Indians are going to be immunised free under the National Immunisation Programme (NIP) as is that the case with all other vaccines under the programme.

"The government has given us a 'special manufacturing priority license' and fast-tracked the trial protocol processes to get the trials completed in 58 days. By this, the first dosing is happening from today in the final phase (Phase III) and the second dosing will happen after 29 days. the final trial data will be out in another 15 days from the second dosing. By that time, we are planning to commercialise Covishield," a Serum Institute of India (SII) top official exclusively revealed.

Earlier, the third phase trials were expected to require a minimum 7-8 months.

The trial among 1600 volunteers at 17 centres, each with about 100 volunteers, started on Aug 22.

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has also said that one among our COVID-19 vaccine candidates is within the third phase of the clinical test . "We are very confident that a vaccine will be developed by end of this year," he said.

The source said the vaccine will belong to Serum Institute, because the company has entered into an exclusive agreement with Astra Zeneca to shop for rights and pay a royalty fee for exclusively selling it in India and 92 other countries. The central government has already indicated to SII that it'll directly procure the vaccines and is getting to immunise Indians for free of charge . Centre has sought 68 crore doses for 130 crore Indian citizens from Serum Institute by June, next year.

For the rest, it's likely to put orders with 'Covaxine' being developed by ICMR and Bharat Biotech and Zydus Cadila's 'ZyCoV-D' if their trials proceed successfully.

Bharat Biotech is yet to point when it might start and finish the trials, though Bharat Biotech's CMD Krishna Ella had said that to make sure safety and efficacy it might not expedite the vaccine with short-cuts.

Serum is beginning to manufacture 6 crore doses per month which can be increased to 10 crore per month by April, 2021. this is often being done by re-engineering its vaccine manufacturing lines that it's spent nearly Rs 200 crore. SII, the most important vaccine maker within the world, features a capacity to form 150 crore doses a year.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has agreed to fund Serum with about $150 million (nearly Rs 1125 crore) to supply and provide around 10 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine for supply to low income countries. which will help SII to scale back the worth to about Rs 250 per dose from over Rs 1,000 per dose, the source said.

The cracks in the earth's magnetic field have increased, broken into two pieces are in danger, said NASA

The cracks are getting bigger in the earth's magnetic field. Photo courtesy: NASA.

The cracks in the earth's magnetic field have become even larger. A crack has broken into two pieces. As a result, terrestrial civilizations in the area will have to deal with horrific solar particles, solar radiation, and cosmic rays.

The US space agency NASA has given this news in a recent report. As a result, the International Space Station orbiting through the area could be damaged by critical equipment of various artificial satellites. Telecommunication, electricity connection and navigation system in the area may also be disrupted.

This magnetic field of the Earth surrounds our bluish planet and extends for millions of kilometers in space. Another name for it is 'Geomagnetic Field'. It is this magnetic field that saves us every moment from the scorching solar radiation and the toxic cosmic rays. When solar radiation and cosmic rays arrive, it is this magnetic field of the earth that pushes it away, as far as possible.

From the seventies of the last century, the earth's magnetic field began to weaken. That's when a huge crack appeared in this magnetic field. Its name is 'South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA)'. This fissure exists in the Earth's magnetic field over South America and the South Atlantic Ocean.

According to a recent NASA report, the Earth's magnetic field has weakened over the past 50 years. The cracks in the earth's magnetic field over South America and the South Atlantic Ocean have become so large in size that they have even broken in two. Made of two large cracks.

NASA observed, "The cracks in the Earth's magnetic field are gradually increasing towards the west. And the magnetic field in that area is getting weaker and weaker. ”

As a result, NASA has warned that the area is in danger in the coming days. For those who live in the area, the natural magnetic 'shield' to prevent the invasion of solar particles, solar radiation and cosmic rays has become weak enough. As a result, the International Space Station orbiting the Earth through that area could suffer catastrophic damage to vital parts of artificial satellites due to solar radiation and cosmic rays.

Earlier in May, the European Space Agency (ESA) reported that the Earth's magnetic field had weakened by 9 percent in the last 200 years. And in the area of the magnetic field where the crack has grown in size and broken into two pieces, the magnetic field has weakened by 8% in the last 50 years.

Scientists say that the cause of this increase in the Earth's magnetic field is geo-natural. These cracks have formed and are growing because the molten lava flow and the magnetic axis are tilted a little more deep inside the earth. The Earth's magnetic field is also increasing because the North and South Poles of the Earth are not properly north and south respectively.

When covid vaccines will be ready? Govt reviews progress of trials

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech on Saturday said India has prepared a roadmap to make sure that a COVID-19 vaccine reaches everyone within the shortest possible time

The Indian government on Monday reviewed the progress of the covid vaccines undergoing clinical trials within the country. The domestic pharma giants presented the present status of varied candidate vaccines for COVID-19 to the central government. The National Expert Group on Covid-19 Vaccine Administration on Monday met leading domestic vaccine manufacturers: Serum Institute of India, Pune; Bharat Biotech, Hyderabad; Zydus Cadila, Ahmedabad; Gennova Biopharmaceuticals, Pune; and Biological E, Hyderabad.

The meeting was mutually beneficial and productive, the health ministry said.

"It provided the National Expert Group with inputs about the present stage of various candidate vaccines being developed by the indigenous manufacturers as well as their expectations from the Union government."

Three Covid vaccine candidates in India are in several phases of clinical study.

The first is that the inactivated virus vaccine which is that the Bharat Biotech Vaccine being developed together with Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

Similarly, the second is that the DNA vaccine of pharma giant Zydus Cadila.

The third, may be a recombinant Oxford University vaccine manufactured by Serum Institute of India (SII) which got approval from DCGI to conduct phase 2, 3 clinical study within the nation.

The central government has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Dr VK Paul, member (health) at Niti Aayog, on covid vaccine administration.

The terms of reference of this expert committee are to streamline suitable vaccine selection, how procurement of vaccine are going to be done, how vaccine would be delivered, prioritising groups to whom vaccine has got to be administered.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech on Saturday said India has prepared a roadmap to make sure that a COVID-19 vaccine reaches everyone within the shortest possible time.

He said three vaccine candidates are in several stages of trials within the country.

The prime minister said whenever there's talk about COVID-19, the question that involves everyone's mind is - when will a vaccine be ready.

"I want to tell people, the talent of our scientists is like that of 'rishi munis' and they are working very hard in laboratories. Three vaccines are in various stages of testing. When scientists will give us the green signal, it will be produced on a mass scale and all preparations have been made for it," PM Modi said in address.
