WhatsApp keeps pushing updates with new features and safety. On the other hand, these new updates have a minimum hardware and software requirement. WhatsApp will soon start removing support for a few Android, iOS and KaiOS devices running on old OS versions.

The instant messaging platform will stop supporting plenty of old devices from 1 November. What this suggests is that the application will completely stop working on some devices.

In order to continue using the application, the user won't have any choice but to get a brand new device with support for the app. The users can back up their chat history before moving to the new device so as to retain all chats and media.

Android

Devices that run on Android 4.0.4 and older versions will stop supporting the messaging application. The Icecream Sandwich update was released within the year 2011.

Some popular Android devices that will not be able to use WhatsApp include, Samsung Galaxy SII, Galaxy S3 mini, Optimus L5 Dual, Optimus L4 II Dual, Optimus F7, Optimus F5 and more.

iOS

The minimum requirement to run WhatsApp are going to be limited to iOS 10 and newer versions. Any iPhone running on operating systems older than iOS 10 won't work from 1 November. Devices like iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, Apple iPhone SE (1st generation) will stop supporting the messaging application.

KaiOS

WhatsApp only supports phones running on KaiOS 2.5.0 and newer. Both JioPhone and JioPhone 2 will continue receiving support.

While switching to new devices, users are advised to take a backup of their chats and other data to continue using the app with the smallest amount amount of interruption.

How to see other people’s WhatsApp status without letting them know? Here is the trick

People’s WhatsApp status are like Instagram/Facebook stories. If people check your WhatsApp Status you'll get to know when you check the list. But there's how to see others’ status without letting them know.

Technology News: WhatsApp status’ work a bit like Facebook and Instagram stories. They stay for twenty-four hours and you'll add multiple status updates a bit like it's with stories on the other two Facebook-owned platforms.

But like on Instagram you'll make a group of close friends and share stories that just they will see, incase you would like to keep some content away from those who follow you there, WhatsApp doesn't have that option. All contact on WhatsApp can see your status if you post one.

There are instances where you would possibly want to see someone’s status and not allow them to know - just as it'd happen on Facebook or Instagram. And there's an easy way to do it.

And it involves the ‘Read’ receipt.

All you need to do to keep your profile from popping up on someone’s status checked-list os by turning off the Read receipt.

Go to Settings, click on ‘Privacy’ and turn off the Read receipts.

Now if you check someone’s status, he/she won't be able to see your name on the list of individuals . Easy.

Like it is with turning off Read receipts that removes the double blue tick from your messages, it also disappears for all of your chats and you don’t get to know if others have read your messages or now - an equivalent also happens for the WhatsApp status.

If you switch Read receipts off, you'll also not be able to see who all have checked your status.

So you would like to make a decision what’s important to you then take the plunge. in fact it’s as easy to undo it as it is to do it. you'll always return into your settings and turn on Read receipts for things to return to normal.

A real sneaky ebay to do things would be to toggle the Read receipts off whenever you would like to see someone’s status and not allow them to know then turn it on after 24 hours. But this whole process looks like way an excessive amount of work for far too little. People have been known to go to fascinating lengths though.

Transcript of a WhatsApp conversation that actress Rhea Chakraborty apparently had with filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt on June 8 is doing the rounds on several websites, television channels and social media.

The chat seems to suggest that she informed him of the very fact that she was leaving her boyfriend, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, thereon day.

The WhatsApp conversation between Rhea and Bhatt also hints at the very fact that her father might not have been happy about her relationship with Sushant, which Bhatt had advised her against it.

The chat has been doing the rounds since Thursday evening, after it had been first exclusively released on India Today.

According to a screenshot of the chat available with the channel, Rhea messaged to Bhatt and said: "Aisha moves on..sir..with a heavy heart and sense of relief." Aisha was Rhea's name within the 2018 film "Jalebi", co-produced by Mahesh Bhatt.

In the next message, Rhea wrote: "Our last call was a wake up call." The message that followed read: "You are my angel You were then And you are now."

In two separate messages, Bhatt replied: "Dont look back. Make it possible what is inevitable", and "My love to your father. He will be a happy man."

According to screenshots of the chat shared by India Today, Rhea then wrote: "Have found some courage, and what you said about my dad tht day on the phone pushed me to be strong for him. He sends you love and thanks you for always being so special."

Bhatt replied: "You are my child. I feel light".

Rhea then wrote: "Aaaah no words sir. the best emotions i feel i feel for u."

In reply, Bhatt wrote: "Thank u for being brave."

'You've again unclipped my wings, twice in one life is almost God like,” she wrote further along in the conversation.

To this, Rhea stated in separate messages: "Thank you destiny that I met you"; "You are right", "Our path met for this day"; and "Not for a film, but something very different, every word you have said to me Echoes in me and feel a deep impact of your unconditional love".

The report by India Today also stated that Rhea shared emojis of a rainbow and a dancing girl to precise her happiness at various stages of the conversation.

The conversation on WhatApp goes on, with Rhea writing: "I love you my best man"; and "Will make you proud".

Bhatt replied, with emojis of folded hands: "You have. Truly. It takes guts to do what you did. Don't look back."

On Rhea’s birthday on july 1, she received a message from the filmmaker. “I will make you proud,” she wrote to him, to which he replied, “You already have. Truly. I takes guts to do what you did. Don’t look back.”

Rhea's boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his home on june 14. The late actor's family subsequently filed an FIR charging the actress and her family with abetment to suicide among other charges. The CBI has appropriated the investigation of the case.
