IPL 2020: The 51st match of the Indian Premier League 2020 (IPL 2020) was played between the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. In this match, Mumbai captain Pollard won the toss and decided to bowl first. In such a situation, the Delhi team batted first and scored 110 runs losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. In this way, the target of 111 runs for victory in front of Mumbai, which Mumbai achieved by losing one wicket in 14.2 overs. 

The IPL 2020 playoff race has become interesting with the defeat of Delhi Capitals. Delhi's team can now score 16 points from here, but Delhi will have to beat Bangalore to qualify for the playoffs. Only Mumbai has reached the playoffs in the IPL's 13th season, which now has 18 points and the team will finish in the top 2. 

Mumbai innings, Ishan Kishan's Fifty

In reply to 111 runs, Mumbai Indians got off to a good start by Quinton Dickock and Ishan Kishan. Both scored 38 runs without losing wickets in the powerplay. There was a 68-run partnership between Dickock and Kishan, but Dickock scored 26 runs and became the victim of Enrique Norkhia. Ishan Kishan returned unbeaten after scoring 72 runs in 47 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes. Suryakumar Yadav also remained unbeaten with 12 runs with him.

After losing the toss and batting first, Delhi did not start well. The team got a blow on the third ball of the first over. Opener Shikhar Dhawan returned to the pavilion off Trent Boult's ball without opening the account. The team received a second setback as Prithvi Shaw. He too could not do anything special and scored 10 runs and was out on Bolt's ball. Rahul Chahar gave the third blow to Delhi. Shreyas Iyer was dismissed for 25 runs. 

Delhi got the fourth blow in the form of Marcus Stoinis, who scored 2 runs and was caught by Dickock off Jaspreet Bumrah. The fifth success was brought to Mumbai by Bumrah, who lbw Rishabh Pant for a score of 21 runs. Delhi's sixth wicket fell as Harshal Patel, who became a victim of Jasprit Bumrah by scoring 5 runs. As the seventh wicket, Shimron Hetmyer returned to the pavilion, scoring 11 runs.

Delhi Capitals' eighth wicket fell as R Ashwin, who scored 12 runs, caught by Krunal Pandya off Trent Boult. Kagiso Rabada was dismissed as the 9th wicket, who could score 12 runs. Rabada was run out on the last ball of the innings, while Praveen Dubey was unbeaten on 7 runs.

Hardik Pandya rested, Rahane out of playing XI

The Mumbai team has made two changes for this match. While Hardik Pandya has been rested, James Pattinson is also out of the playing eleven for this match. In place of these two, Nathan-Coulter Nile and Jayant Yadav have got a chance in the last eleven. At the same time, Prithvi Shaw and Harshal Patel are back in the Delhi team, while Praveen Dubey made his debut in IPL. Ajinkya Rahane, Tusshar Deshpande and Akshar Patel will not play in this match.

IPL 2020: Sunday will be a memorable day for IPL fans. The result of the second match in a row in the superover gave the fans a thrilling experience. The Super Over was played at the Dubai Stadium after the match ended in a draw at the scheduled time. Jaspreet Bumrah from Mumbai bowled a super over with just 5 runs in one over. Bumrah also took 2 wickets in this over. Therefore, Mumbai had a good chance to win after challenging for just 6 runs. But veteran Mohammad Shami did not give the Mumbai batsmen a chance to play big shots. Quinton D-Cock was run out for 2 runs on the last ball to win and the first super over was a draw.

In the second super over, Hardik Pandya and Kieran Pollard came on the field. Pollard bowled out Mumbai for 11 in the second super over. Punjab's Chris Gayle and Mayank Agarwal took the required 12 runs for the victory. Mumbai gave Trent Bolt a chance to bowl the second superover. Gayle started the innings with a six off Bolt's first ball. After this, Mayank Agarwal sealed the victory of Punjab by mortgaging Gayle. This is the first time in the history of the IPL that two matches on the same day have resulted in a superover and the first superover has ended in a draw.

In the allotted overs, Jaspreet Bumrah, Rahul Chahar and other bowlers helped Mumbai Indians win the match against Kings XI Punjab in the thirteenth season of the IPL. Chasing 177, Punjab lost the last ball and the match ended in a draw. Lokesh Rahul from Punjab scored 77 in the first innings. From Mumbai, Jaspreet Bumrah, Rahul Chahar and Trent Bolt gave Punjab a good fight in the first innings. In the first innings, Jaspreet Bumrah took 3 wickets and Rahul Chahar took 2 wickets.

Chasing 177, Punjab got off to a promising start. Mayank Agarwal and Lokesh Rahul started putting pressure on the Mumbai bowlers from the start. Earlier, Quinton D-Cock's half-century and last-minute batting helped Mumbai reach 176 in the match against Punjab. Mumbai's leading batsmen, batting for the first time in the match, were disappointed today. The Mumbai batsmen were helpless in the face of a penetrating strike by the Punjab bowlers. But D-Cock and Pollard and Coulter Nile in the final over gave Mumbai a convincing score. Winning the toss, Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma decided to bat first.
