White House press secretary Kelly McCanney said on Wednesday, President Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize because of his role in negotiating a peace deal between the Israeli-UAE.
The White House has said that US President Donald Trump is entitled to a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize and has worked hard on the historic peace deal between the United Arab Emirates and Israel. The White House said that Trump made peace the basis of his foreign policy efforts. A right-wing MP from Norway, Christian Tybring-Gageed, nominated Trump on Wednesday for the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his efforts in West Asia.

He said that Trump has made peace the basis of his recent foreign policy efforts.The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel announced on 13 August that they were establishing full diplomatic relations. Taking the historic step towards peace in Central Asia, the first commercial aircraft between Israel and the United Arab Emirates landed in Abu Dhabi on 31 August. On behalf of the right-wing Progress Party, Member of Parliament of Norway Christian Tybring-Gageed said that Trump's name should be considered for awarding the Nobel Peace Prize "on the peace deal between the United Arab Emirates and Israel." He said that Trump's initiative has paved the way for possible peace in West Asia.
Tybring-Gage is one among two Norwegian lawmakers who also nominated Trump in 2018 for the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to reconcile between North and South Korea . Any MP can nominate someone for the Nobel Peace Prize.The method of considering and awarding the names of candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize is completed in Norway, while the other Nobel Prizes are given in neighboring Sweden.
