This is Delhi Capitals' third consecutive win and now they have 10 points with five wins in six matches. With this, the team has reached the first place in the score sheet. In today's match, Rajasthan had a target of 185 runs to win, but the team's struggle ended with the dismissal of Jos Buttler (13), Captain Steve Smith (24) and Sanju Samson (5). Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 34 runs from 36 balls with the help of a four and two sixes, but after his dismissal, only Jambaz Rahul Teotia was seen struggling. Tewatia scored 38 runs off 29 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes and was dismissed as the ninth wicket. RR's team collapsed by scoring 138 runs in 19.4 overs and lost the match by 46 runs. Rabada took three wickets for Delhi while R.K. Ashwin and Marcus Stoinis took two wickets each. Ashwin, who took two wickets for 22 runs in four overs, was adjudged Player of the Match, picking the wickets of Jos Buttler and Mahipal Lomror.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals captain Smith picked the bowling first by winning the toss at Sharjah ground. Although initially this decision seemed to be correct and DC's four wickets fell for 79 at one time but Stoinis (39 runs, 30 balls, four sixes) and Hetmyer (45 runs, 24 balls, one four and five) Sixes) played a key role in stormy batting to take the team to 184 for 8 wickets in 20 overs.
