IPL 2020: KKR vs SRH : Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in Super Over

 Sunrisers Hyderabad were defeated by 2-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. It was Kolkata's 5th win in the season and the team is placed fourth with 10 points.

IPL 2020: Two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad, captained by David Warner, in the Super Over in the 35th match of IPL-13. Hyderabad captain David Warner at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi won the toss and decided to bowl first. Kolkata scored 163 runs losing 5 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs and Hyderabad scored 163 for 6 wickets thanks to the innings of David Warner (47 *). The match was tied and Kolkata won in the Super Over.

Hyderabad team could score only 2 runs in the Super over and in 4 balls Kolkata achieved the target.

David Warner tried hard but could take a single off the last ball and the match went into the super over. Warner, in his unbeaten innings of 33 balls, scored 47 runs with the help of 5 fours. Apart from them, Johnny Bairstow contributed 36 and Abdul Samad contributed 23 runs. Kolkata pacer Lockie Ferguson took 3 wickets while Varun Chakraborty, Shivam Mavi and Pat Cummins got 1-1 wickets each.

Kolkata scored 163 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs and Hyderabad got a target of 164 runs to win. Opener Shubman Gill scored the highest score of 36 while captain Eoin Morgan, who was dismissed on the last ball, contributed 34 runs. Morng and former captain Dinesh Karthik (29 *) shared a 58-run partnership for the 5th wicket. Karthik returned unbeaten on 14 balls with 2 fours, 2 sixes, while Morgan hit 3 fours and 1 six off 23 balls.

Andre Russell once again proved to be a flop and scored 9 runs to become T Natarajan's second victim. Russell faced 11 balls and hit 1 four.
